The royal patronage of the past rulers of Delhi have ensured that Delhi still remains a cultural hub in today's modern times thereby attracting the finest of painters, musicians and dancers as well as theatre performers from all over the country.

The prolific rise of the art galleries in Delhi is an indicator that Delhi still retains its hold as the cultural centre.
